The focal point of this Jester Estates Multi-Room Renovation is the kitchen. The owners of this cute but dated home love to entertain folks and cook amazing Italian meals. However, their kitchen was a tight and cumbersome area that could only accommodate one person working at a time and the kitchen interior failed to take advantage of space.
The out-of-date appliances could not accommodate their needs and the aesthetic of the kitchen just didn’t compliment the living area the way they envisioned it could They got fed up, and decided it was time to renovate.
Since they wanted to maintain a consistent look throughout their home, they quickly realized that performing a complete home remodel made the most sense. So, our design team worked within their budget to design a custom kitchen interior with the beauty and functionality they envisioned.
We transformed the kitchen, dining room, and family room into a Great Room without walls to impede the flow. The result is a warm and open living space optimized for spending time with family and friends.

Custom Kitchen Design and Build
Contemporary
5-STAR
We started with the kitchen. A large corner pantry was taking usable space, and the cabinet storage was lacking. Our design opened up the work triangle eliminating the awkwardness. We designed and built custom cabinetry to maximize storage space.
We built beautiful white shaker cabinets around the industrial-sized stainless steel Samsung (RFG237AARS) refrigerator with French doors and handy water and ice dispenser. The pantry storage above extends to the ceiling maximizing every square inch of space. The glass-fronted cabinets up top look amazing and are ideal for storing decorative kitchenware.
A massive, commercial-style range and vent hood sit in the center of the kitchen.
The awesome multi-colored tile backsplash surrounding it coordinates well with the porcelain tile we used for the fireplace front. We laid out every tile by hand on the floor to make sure they were happy with the pattern before installing it.
The kitchen design maximizes utility by evenly spacing the appliances. At the center of the space is the Thermador Pro Harmony 36″ dual fuel range w/ 6 burners (Thermador PRD36GHU) paired with the Thermador 36″ Chimney Hood – 600cfm (Thermador HMCB36FS).
The custom-built peninsula provides additional countertop space as well as extra cabinet storage below. We added cabinet doors on the dining room side of the peninsula for convenience. We also installed several appliance garage areas.
The kitchen features a Kohler Vault (K-3839-4-NA) 18-gallon stainless steel, under-mount, smart divide sink, a Delta (9159-AR-DST) Arctic Stainless Trinsic 1H DM Pull-down lever-handle kitchen faucet, and a Thermador (DWHD640JFP) Topaz Dishwasher.
The multi-colored porcelain field tile backsplash blends the look of stainless steel appliances, white cabinetry, and grey quartzite countertops with the overall color theme of the entire Great Room.
The dining room and kitchen are components of a Great Room, but each space is still well-defined. The color theme of the dining room along with the custom-built kitchen peninsula helps to define each room. However, the overall flow of the house remains unimpeded.
The dining area/breakfast nook spotlights a custom-built bay window seat bench and complementary custom-built dining room table. The colors of the rug, upholstery, bench cushions, and pillows contrast the greys and brighten up this space.
Since we opted for a complete home remodel, all of the rooms match. We wanted to tie in the kitchen and living area, so it all felt like one space without getting boring. That’s why we selected a complementary orange and blue, along with neutral taupes, greys, and a white backdrop.
Now, the color theme in the family room complements the dining area. Moreover, the porcelain tiles around the fireplace along with the grey walls and white crown molding match the kitchen space.
The raised ceiling creates a more expansive feel while highlighting the crown molding. We were able to keep the existing cabinetry intact around the fireplace. However, we added the cherry wood mantel to balance out the industrial greys and whites with a natural and earthy look.
This Jester Estates Multi-Room Renovation shows a consistent and uniform look throughout, highlighting the advantages of a complete home remodel. We worked together with our clients to select complementary building materials for each segment of their home. Consequently, all of the rooms match perfectly.
More importantly, our clients got the look they wanted. Although we incorporated a “Great Room” concept, the kitchen, dining area, and family are still clearly defined rooms and the aesthetics never get boring.
“New Creations just finished an amazing remodel of our kitchen and family room. The entire process, particularly the finished product, far exceeded our expectations. Roy is a joy to work with, and his design assistant Erin gave us fabulous ideas. Roy really means it when he says “how can we serve you”? Roy kept in touch with us almost daily through email, phone or text, and was never too busy to discuss our needs. Any anxiety we had starting the project dissolved as we realized Roy and his team’s main concern was making sure we loved our new spaces – and we do!!
We have now been working in our new kitchen for almost a month and I love it more every day. Small issues discovered have been addressed immediately though the project is ended – something I have not experienced before. When we remodeled our master bath several years ago, we were never able to get the contractor to come back and fix pretty big issues and ended up having to hire someone else.
The entire team at New Creations is professional and takes great pride in their work. Apollo Is the master of all trades- there is nothing that man can’t do. To the entire NC Team – thank you!!!”
