Condo Remodel – Quality, Integrity and Trust define the New Creations Team.

Roy Faust, New Creations owner has compiled a team that is awesome. In my opinion a man’s character and integrity is reflected through the people that represent him and Roy has accomplished this.

Our New Creations project was managed by Troy Hester, Office Manager, who did a stellar job of keeping us apprised of the daily schedule with an online project scheduling tool that was beneficial in helping us to keep track of our project. Jeremy Vincik, Project Manager, is an amazing young man with excellent people skills and I can’t say enough about him, except that he was always personable and tuned to detail.

The project at our condo was a total kitchen and bath remodel, with granite countertops and new cabinets. Our condo does not look like the same place; it’s fabulous! Chris Holland with CF Stone Works did a great job with our granite and the craftsmanship on our cabinets is just amazing thanks to Winston Cave with Texas Unique Custom Cabinets. The cabinets are awesome.

Of course, the credit goes to Roy Faust for putting this entire project together. It all started at his design center and the end result is just amazing. It was most reassuring to know that the most important thing to Roy and his team throughout the project was that we were completely satisfied with the entire process. I would highly recommend Roy and the New Creations team!

67. Lindy R. Project #1 – Jollyville"Best Contractor Experience Ever!"

Best Contractor Experience Ever! – Our kitchen was every bit the quintessential galley model from the 1980s—skinny, appliance doors bumping cabinet doors, and finished with wood laminate running across the countertops, backsplash, and even surrounding the yellow-plastic-encased fluorescent light fixture. The builder even added a wall to divide it from the living and formal dining area, complete with a tiny square window so the tired cook would watch the 5 o’clock news while she heated up TV dinners in her faux wood prison. Obviously, I had major issues with my kitchen.

My husband and I overhauled our house, and no matter what we did, we were stumped when it came to the kitchen. We had a few ideas, none of them terribly concrete—but that didn’t stop us from interviewing a string of contractors who were clearly frustrated with our lack of vision. That was where Roy and his team shined from the beginning—our openness didn’t frustrate him, it got him excited. He worked with us for over a month, taking our vague clues (i.e.”You see the shelf in the background of this ad? Those could be cool!”) and transforming them into something his team could create. He gave us the same attention as the higher end design build firms, and when the sketches were complete, the pricing didn’t make us swoon. Hooray!

After all was said and done, we knocked down a wall, covered the remaining space in creamy penny round tile, installed brand new cabinetry and shelving in sumptuous cherry and walnut stain, and tied it all together with some of the best lighting work I’ve ever seen. This isn’t to say we didn’t encounter issues---all renovation projects of this magnitude will. And here is my favorite thing by far about New Creations: They did us right in every possible way. They were accountable, ethical, fair, and NICE. I have had good and bad contractor experiences, and even with the good ones, I’m not sure I could say that so unabashedly. I am obsessed with my new kitchen—If you want to message me, I’m happy to talk to you in more detail about Roy and his colleagues.

66. dksallison – Canyon Creek""Run, don't walk to New Creations!""

New Creations is the Complete Package – Remodeling our kitchen and powder room was a big decision and a big investment.

We chose New Creations because they were friendly, low-pressure, and responsive from the start. We had several meetings with Roy, met all the contractors, heard their ideas, received an estimate, visited the showroom, and visited a kitchen they renovated before we even signed any agreement with them!

It was intimidating to choose all the elements for our new kitchen, but New Creations made it easy. They didn’t have a designer at the time, but Roy shared his experience and knowledge of emerging trends in the industry. It was helpful to see working models in the showroom and have large samples (2’ x 2’) of cabinet types and paint colors available. Taking my chosen samples home with me to move around the space and see at different times of the day with the changing natural light made the selection easier. And later, after the cabinets and counters were installed, when I began to doubt my wall paint selection, Troy cheerfully delivered all the neutral samples that I requested (perhaps 20 or more?) to view again.

Throughout, Troy did a wonderful job of choreographing the different contractors and communicating with us. In addition to regular email updates, we were able to log-in to see what activities were scheduled and read the communication with the contractors. With 2 full-time work schedules, a toddler, and a dog to plan around, it was very important that we knew what to expect each day.

All the contractors were respectful of our home and seemed to understand that we were still living there from demolition to completion. They kept the mess contained and tidied up before leaving each day. They were also very collaborative. We met with each contractor at least twice during the planning stages and communicated several times while the project was in full-swing. They answered all our questions, put us at ease, offered suggestions, and were responsive to any concerns that we had. Winston, James, Larry, Lisa, and Manuel (and their crews) are all very professional and friendly. They seemed very knowledgeable in their areas and as concerned as we were to create a space that would meet our family’s needs.

Roy prepared us in advance to expect hiccups so we weren’t completely surprised when some did occur. What was reassuring, however, was that someone from the team always responded to our phone calls (even when they were later in the evening!), they offered professional solutions, and never appeared to be put-out.

New Creations was thorough and honest. In our final walk through with Roy, he pointed out small imperfections that we hadn’t noticed and he identified a feature which we had paid for, but hadn’t received. He made sure that this was remedied within the week. In the end, it was another example of their attention to detail and pride in their work.

At first, we were surprised by the estimated costs to remodel our kitchen. But 8 months later (9 weeks of construction) - after seeing the amount of coordination, the number of professional individual contributors, and the quality of the materials involved - we are delighted with the results and feel that it was well worth the investment.

To clarify: I hesitated to give a 5-star rating out of 5 since I don't believe anything is perfect. However, my experience was better than "very good." They exemplify customer service and I can confidently say to anyone who is looking for a complete kitchen remodeling company, "Run, don't walk to New Creations!"

65. Don H – Project #1 – Grandview Hills"I think we can honestly say that New Creations worked with us to produce a kitchen that actually exceeded our expectations."

New Creations Review - Outstanding! – What sets New Creations apart from their competition? The journey, the guidance and the final product all made possible by a professional team and a great group of sub-contractors.

The Journey: I’m not sure anyone really goes into a remodeling absolutely knowing every detail of how they want their kitchen to be transformed. The New Creations Team has a design center that really helps you get started and everyone from the New Creations Team to the sub-contractors will help you with suggestions along the way. No one really wants their kitchen demolished either. I think New Creations needs to come up with a new term for this part of the process because we never felt like our kitchen was demolished… just removed. When we came home on day one, our old kitchen (appliances, sheet rock, everything) was gone. I mean totally removed from the property and the work Site was very clean. This is the way it was every day of the process. In many ways, the only way we knew sub-contractors had been in our house was the progress made on the remodeling.

For us, another critical part of the journey was understanding how the project would unfold. While they were proactive in keeping us informed, you can always contact one of the New Creations Team members by phone or email (and they are quick to respond). They also link you into the project planning process through web-based Basecamp. This lets you see what is being planned each day. Your inputs are captured as actions and assigned to members of their Team. Any issue that came up was addressed in a timely fashion.

When I reflect back on the remodeling process, it really is a journey that includes a few changes in direction. I found that when we did want to add or change from the original plan, New Creations was very professional. If we did deviate from the original contract, New Creations was very quick to get us a quote and worked to keep the project on schedule.

The other critical element of the journey is will they complete your kitchen when they say they will. New Creations committed they would be complete in 8 weeks. At the end of 6 weeks, all that was left to be done was minor touch-up. The attention to detail was outstanding. The New Creations Team picked up on several small items we missed and had them corrected.

The Sub-contractors: New Creations has done an excellent job of picking the sub-contractors they work with. The most impressive of which was the cabinet, granite and sheetrock/painter subs. The cabinets are stunning, the granite was laid out with the grain structure exactly the way we had envisioned and the paint/texturing matched our existing walls perfectly. We also really appreciated the crew that did the demolition and clean-up to get the project started on the right foot.

The Final Product: All of the above doesn’t matter if you are not happy with the final product. I think we can honestly say that New Creations worked with us to produce a kitchen that actually exceeded our expectations.

Remodeling is really a Team effort between you and the Contractor you choose. You need to make many decisions and actively participate along the way to make it a success. The Contractor needs to make the experience and final product what you envisioned it to be. We found the Team at New Creations to be excellent Team members that helped us realize the kitchen of our dreams. Roy, Troy and Jeremy all have strengths that complement each other… a special thanks to all of you!

64. Knolte13 – Jollyville"We are very happy customers and now look forward to taking on our upstairs in the near future!"

The house we always wanted! – It is never easy to undertake a remodeling project. Instead of doing just our kitchen, we opted to remodel our entire downstairs which included our kitchen, dining room, living room, master bedroom and bathroom. We essentially packed up our belongings and moved upstairs for 4 months. But what an amazing investment it was. We are now the envy of all of our friends and neighbors. New Creations did a fantastic job with our remodel. They were quick to adjust to our last minute requests and slight design adjustments and the completed project/ workmanship was just fantastic. Our custom cabinets in the kitchen/bathroom in particular are absolutely gorgeous. We were pleased with the end result but also experienced excellent customer service from Roy and Troy throughout the project. We are very happy customers and now look forward to taking on our upstairs in the near future!

63. sago99 – Circle C"would highly recommend this process and the New Creations team to anyone embarking on a kitchen remodel.

New Creations Kitchen Remodel – We recently embarked upon a project to give our kitchen a face-lift. After researching a full remodel and replacement of our perfectly good (but just ugly) kitchen cabinets, we stumbled across the New Creations website and found out about an alternative to replacement. Having been down the remodel road and found that complete replacement was not something that on which we wanted to spend too much money, we met with the New Creations crew to see what they had to offer. Their showroom featured many different styles of refaced cabinets complete with interchangeable countertop surfaces and backsplashes so we were able to get a very good sense of how our material selections would combine to create an overall look. This was extremely helpful to see and quite a contrast to having to guesstimate with tiny samples at many other providers.

Once we understood the re-facing process and the timeline, we were certain that this was a better path for us. It was very important that we establish and stick to an aggressive timeline which would ensure completion by the end of September. Roy and Troy were very helpful in scheduling our remodel project and ensuring that we had good transparency to the milestones and project tasks in the schedule along the way. Once we had our materials selected, the New Creations team sent us a detailed web-based project plan that outlined the entire schedule from start to finish. With both of us working and me travelling during that time, this was enormously helpful to us as we sought to plan our weeks. Once we got started with the project, we were very happy with the team’s diligence in sticking to the schedule and ensuring that tasks were completed on-time. Additionally, as we ran into the inevitable hiccup’s that come with home projects, we found that the New Creations team was extremely responsive and diligent in resolving things to our satisfaction. Everyone who was brought to the house to work was polite, honest and very good at their piece of the project. All in all, it took about 3 weeks to complete the project and we were able to access/use our kitchen for the majority of that timeframe. The results are great! The kitchen has a great new look that’s far more up-to-date. We replaced the countertops with granite, the white backsplash with a cool glass tile mosaic and the lighting throughout the kitchen. It’s like a brand new kitchen for a lot less than we were originally planning to spend. We’re thoroughly enjoying the new look of the kitchen and would highly recommend this process and the New Creations team to anyone embarking on a kitchen remodel.

62. Trutright – Great Hills"Great Service, Great Attitude"

Great Service, Great Attitude – We used New Creations (Roy and team) to re-design and re-do our kitchen and breakfast area - we love the new look and the quality of the workmanship.

The team did everything well but really excel in the following areas (much better than I have previously experienced):

1) Customer Service. Roy is a fanatic about giving the customer what they want. If something is not just so, Roy will take care of it.

2) Project Management & Great Execution. It is clear that they are on top of the game. They communicate well via phone, in person, and email; but more importantly they drive themselves and their team proactively. They completely my kitchen re-model (complete demolition down to the studs to new beautiful kitchen in 8 weeks and 2 days.)

3) Great design ideas. Roy and team gave us some really great ideas about how to re-layout our kitchen (really creative). They make great suggestions but know how to do this while still leaving you in control of making it “your kitchen”.

4) High quality team. In particular, Roy’s sub-contractors for cabinets, electrical, and his catch all (jack-of-all trade) guy were world class. This is one of the key’s to me of New Creations and Roy’s success…..having great sub-contractors and then have a good working relationship with them .

5) Issue handling & resolution. Most remodels (I have done a few construction projects) will have a few issues come up. Roy’ team is excellent at addressing any issues that arise. Again, the customer service attitude is a keystone to Roy and he pushes it across to his sub-contractors – you can tell.

Overall, I think I am a pretty tough customer (son of a carpenter) and someone who likes things done “right”. Roy and team do it “right”!

61. Cathy512 – Northwest Hills"A very talented, courteous and professional team!"

A very talented, courteous and professional team! – I loved everything about my new home except for the tiny, dark, unattractive bathrooms. I contacted New Creations based on recommendations from two of my neighbors, and I couldn't be happier with the results! This was my first experience with a remodel and I really didn't know what to expect. Roy's and his sub-contractors worked with me every step of the way. They encouraged me to play a big part in the design process, and this hands-on involvement was an exciting and fulfilling experience. They really made me feel like I was part of the team, all the while helping me make smart decisions based on their prior experiences. In the end, their expert advice proved invaluable. Virtually every decision we made turned out to be the right choice. Prior to the remodel, my master bathroom was a depressingly dismal place. Now it's a joy just to be in this room. We knocked out an unnecessary dividing wall and removed the outdated tub and fixtures, then installed custom cabinets, new floor tiles, expertly textured walls, a beautiful new countertop with a vessel sink and a gorgeous, modern glass walled shower. In our guest bathroom we added new cabinet and drawer faces, countertop with vessel sink and new floor tiles, and finished it off with retextured walls and fresh paint throughout. To top it off, we added solar tubes to both bathrooms, making them so much brighter and more inviting. I'm very proud of my remodeled guest bathroom, but my master bath is simply a joy! It's my own little oasis/spa. A big thanks to Roy and his team for all their hard work. I recommend them whole-heartedly!

Love My New Kitchen! – I love my kitchen! Roy and New Creations remodeled our kitchen last spring. Even though it has been several months, I still find myself just staring at it in awe.

Working with New Creations was such an easy process. I have heard countless horror stories about remodel nightmares, and this was nothing like that. Everyone was professional and pleasant to have in our home. Roy was wonderfully honest with us as we went through the design process and I always felt like he had our best interest in mind. I would recommend New Creations whole heatedly and am looking forward to working with them on our master bath someday soon.
